8th Annual Corn Festival

The Corn Festival eductes people on the cultural, political and social importance of corn. It has promotes all types of foods derived from corn that are traditional Latin American Foods. This Festival is hosted by C.E.L.S.A.N (Canada El Salvador Action Network Society) and coorganized by Britannia Community Services Center and the Grandview Woodland Food Connection.

The Corn Festival features a farmer’s market, food vendors and Free Fun Family entertainment (face painting, Live Latin music and the crowning of Corn Queen 2011).

C.E.L.S.A.N is a registered non-for profit society that promotes the cultural roots (dance, food, music and art) of the Latin community, encourages integration between all ethic communities.

This year all profits will be used to support a community radio station in ciudad Delgado in the metropolitan area of San Salvador.
